discrete mathematics in university level is interesting. these r 2 situational problems by one of my colleagues:
1. stepping into an unknown island, u see 2 people. given that the island consist of 2 types of people, the liars and the honests, u r onli allowed to ask each of them 1 ques to
find out if tt 2 people in front of u r liar(s) or honest(s). how would u solve tis?
2. there r 12 coins on a table. 1 of the coins is odd one out. its weight differs from the rest, could be heavier or lighter. using a simple weight balance,
show how u can identify the odd coin using onli 3 steps.
