went B camp as facilitator for the past 3days in sembawang campsite. this year's theme was on filial piety. boring it may sounds, but it was touching as it applies to everybody in different ways. think about how much our parents have done for us. the undying love, care and concern is too much for us to repay in our entire lifetime. but yet, there are people who take them for granted.

the camp committee and ad-hoc team really did a good job in planning and executing this youth camp. everybody put in their best in ensuring that everything went on smoothly as planned. meetings after meetings, they slept the latest and woke up the earliest. yet, they still showed much enthusiasm during the activities. thats the spirit! furthermore, they came out with several fun and creative ways in conveying the message of filial piety, making the banyuans experience the pain that parents are going through, though what the banyuans experiencing are small-scale. the most impactful part was the video during the campfire. it was simply touching, triggering almost everybody's tears to flow.

in my group that im facilitating, i encoutered 2 challenging banyuans that are totally out of control, doing theings that will REALLY MAKE YOUR BLOOD BOIL! the 2 other facilitators have kind of given up on them, except for me who really tried my best to bring them back into the group together. playing 'hide-and-seek' with them, ensuring they are within my sight every now and then (even at night), patiently nagging and prompting at them about what they should learn in every station, actively leading them to participate enthusiasm which wasnt really successful everytime (but there were times when they participated enthusiasitcally). for all these to happen, i have to thank the 2 other facilitators for helping me to take care of the other banyuans while i focus most of my attention on those 2 'outstanding' ones. somehow, i also learnt about filial piety from another direction. that is to experience from the parental point of view when they are taking care of us, the rebellious children. other than the one time that i really roared and scolded the hell out of the 2, i realised my toleration level has levelled up.

didnt bring camera to take photos. anyway, i dont have time to snap around too. but can refer to the following for some photos.
